Chandler Building Donates Time at Milpitas Food Pantry
The Chandler Building team recently gave back to the community by working in collaboration with Cisco engineers to pack 500 boxes of food for the needy. The holidays are a perfect time for us to come together as a coworkers and as friends to volunteer in our communities. We at Chandler Building are proud to participate in the Milpitas Food Pantry's Thanksgiving drive, and we thank our friends at Cisco for their hard work as well! If you would like to participate in holiday volunteerism, please contact the Milpitas Food Pantry!
Chandler Building Helps New Orleans Lower 9th Ward
Chandler Building is proud to support our community and our country with volunteer work. In April of 2008, we traveled to New Orleans where we worked with Habitat for Humanity to lead a team of volunteers in the reconstruction of destroyed homes after Hurricane Katrina. We aided in the construction and framing of new homes, all while offering up our expertise to our volunteer team. In addition, we donated tools and equipment to encourage others to continue volunteering.
For the past two years, Chandler Building has been volunteering with Hope Connections, a Christian ministry which helps build shelters for and feed the less fortunate. Chandler Building is responsible for the assembly of food boxes for 300 families in the Tri-City Area (Newark, Fremont, Union City), included organizing help, setting up assembly lines, and storage of completed boxes for distribution.
In the past Chandler has also participated in volunteer home building initiatives in Mexico.
Chandler Building is a proud supporter in the fight against Human Trafficking. The Bay Area is one of the highest in reported areas where Human Trafficking exsists. For more information about ways you can help or support, please visit the Santa Clara Freedom House website to learn more.
